Good Sources for Economic and Census Data Research1. http://www.geographynetwork.com/data/tiger2000 -Numerous maps and shape files of tracks, blocks, counties, etc can be found for practically anywhere in the U.S. 2. http://www2.census.gov/census_2000/datasets -Here is where we retrieved the population census 2000 datasets 3. http://govinfo.library.orst.edu -At this website there is a very large database that includes population census, economic census, and housing census -This is the HUD website. It contains a great deal of information explaining what hud is and census information as well on HUD. 5. http://tier2.census.gov/cgi-win/cbp_naics/select.exe -This website offers detailed manufacturing and economic census for each individual county in any of the US states. 6. http://homer.ssd.census.gov/cdrom/lookup -This website offers extensive 1990 census data. It is very detailed and will give you exactly what you want and in almost any form you want it. Look for databases and click links to access
