GIS for Economic Applications

GIS (Geographical Information System) was used to view economic data within the Lehigh River Watershed. This involved importing and analyzing existing, current and historic data from the US Bureau of the Census into the LEO (GIS) Geographic Information System database. GIS allowed the data to be viewed in a visual content in addition to the usual table data storage. For larger quantities of data it's more attractive to see color coded data on a visual map rather than viewing data tables. GIS allows you to manipulate different types of data.

Created a layout of population density in the Lehigh River Watershed from two themes: population and area.
