Hydroprobe
LEO student interns operate a hydroprobe on the lower reaches of
the Lehigh River. The probe measures temperature, pH, specific
conductance-resistivity, salinity-TDS, dissolved oxygen, and redox
potential. LEO interns operate and maintain the probe, organize
the data, which is logged on an hourly basis, and analyze the
results for a segment of the Lehigh River near Bethlehem. This
data is then collected into a database which you can access using
the on-line form.
Data collection began with LEO on 1998-10-29. Some days may
not contain data due to maintenance and technical difficulties.
In addition, LEO has obtained data from Parkland High School. Data
collection began 1998-01-06. This is a joint project in partnership
with the Wildlands Conservancy and Parkland High School. Bob Miller
is the contact person at Parkland High School.
