Tewksbury Township

GIS mapping of spatial data is increasingly being used by municipalities to manage their natural resources. The township of Tewksbury, New Jersey contracted LEO to work on creating two GIS databases. One of these databases is an inventory of the locations of all wells, septic tanks, and clean-out area within the township. Historical water quality was also collected during these projects. All of this data will assist the township in monitoring and managing its groundwater resources. The other GIS database is an inventory of its conservation easements, building restrictions on deeds designed to protect against degradation of sensitive environmental resources, such as riparian corridors.
