LEO WEB AND DATABASE PROJECTS

The following on going projects would get the intern involved with learning different ways of placing LEO information on the Web. On site training is available.

GIS ON THE INTERNET: GIS (Geographic Information System, both ArcView and ARC/INFO) plays a pivotal role in presentation and analysis in many LEO projects. This project involves using the ArcView Internet Map Server package to forge an essential link between the internet and GIS tools to support LEO's mission. This will bring LEO students and staff from the Wildlands Conservancy together to produce an interactive web version of the Lehigh River Watershed. The web provides a channel for getting the report to the community to develop informed public support and also for rapidly delivering updated information. GIS knowledge preferred.

WEB SITE DEVELOPMENT: There are several design changes for the current LEO web site. The software package currently being used is Dreamweaver. The intern would work with this package on implementing changes throughout the site. Previous web design preferred.
