LEO is designed to be modular in construction. Rather than tie the essence of the observatory to a single program or theme, this architecture better reflects the diversity of fields and the multidisciplinary nature of the environment. A modular structure allows us to be agile and meet evolving needs. LEO currently supports several focused projects as well as activities in a number of currently rostered courses. We also provide seed funding to develop new courses or new activities in existing courses that link disciplinary or multidisciplinary content to the environment. We encourage Lehigh University faculty interested to participate in existing LEO activities as well as in proposing new projects.
