The Mighty Lehigh
The Lehigh River watershed drains 1345 square miles of eastern Pennsylvania, encompasses 108 municipalities, and parts of or all of ten counties, including Lehigh, Bucks, and Northampton. This internship project is based on a talk by Wildlands Conservancy describing the journey of a water droplet making the 103 mile journey down the Lehigh River to the Delaware River. The Lehigh River and the towns along it have played an important part in the history of the country. The objective of The Mighty Lehigh Project is to document the history of the area with the latest video and audio tools. LEO interns will use a script, written by members of Wildlands Conservancy, available images and new video footage to tell the story. Interns will create a story board, edit scripts, assemble images, and collect video and perhaps participate in historical research. Interns will earn Design 375 credits. Permission of instructor is required. If interested, contact Anna Chupa (anna.chupa@lehigh.edu).
